WHO ARE WE

The Academy was established in 2004 as the first academy specialized in treating autism disorder in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. It is headed by Dr. Jamal Al-Dalahma, who holds a PhD in Special Education / Autism Sciences. -2011, and the American Institute for Autism Sciences was established in Jordan exclusively for the Middle East region to provide continuing education for certificates accredited by the International Board of Applied Behavior Analysis to provide training, development and accreditation services, and in cooperation with the Academy, specialized certificates issued by the American Institute and the International Board are granted in the analysis program Internationally Approved Behavioral Applied Therapy for Autism.

The number of employees in the academy is one hundred and seventy-seven employees from various disciplines, including speech and language specialists, occupational and behavioral therapists, physiotherapists, teachers with bachelor’s and master’s degrees, each according to his specialization, and escorts specialized in internal housing and logistics services such as chefs, workers, and other complementary services to provide a living environment at the highest level It is a luxury for those joining the academy from different Arab and foreign nationalities.

A huge building with an area of ​​8,800 square meters has been established, located on two connected buildings, one of which is a school building and the other is an internal housing unit with all amenities and entertainment for its employees. The Academy adopts the Applied Behavior Analysis Program as a treatment program for its enrollees, through which it provides individual sessions (behavioral, speech and language, occupational therapy, physiotherapy) and group therapy, and a program of methodological activities associated with the program, and extracurricular activities). ) A girl and a boy in the academic integration program in regular schools with their peers who are normal children, and they receive education as they do after rehabilitating them and improving their level of performance in various educational and life fields. The academy has a vocational rehabilitation program for the elderly, which we seek to develop to enable the elderly to acquire a handcraft that enables them to be productive and self-reliant. It serves (45) enrolled young people with autism.

The logo of the Jordan Academy for Autism (Care - Rehabilitation - Inclusion - Education) reflects our philosophy that education is our goal, and integration of autistic children in regular schools is our ultimate goal because we believe that the natural place for an autistic child is the school that should be a school for all, and we are proud that there are more Thirty of our students are now in a regular school with their peers receiving the same care and education. We share parents' concerns and aspirations because we are one family.
