Middle East University was established in 2005 as a university for graduate studies, and with the beginning of the second semester of the 2008/2009 academic year, the path of the undergraduate program started, and through its nine colleges the university is currently offering eleven majors in the master's program, and twenty-one majors in the undergraduate program.

In 2005, Middle East University established a graduate university, in a privileged location from the capital, Amman, a few kilometers away towards Queen Alia International Airport.
