📚 **First week of school… Don’t just ask your child: 'How was your day?'**
Most of the time, the answer will be: **'Good'** and the conversation ends! 😅
At the start of the school year, a child goes through a big change: new class, new teachers, new friends, and a different daily routine.
Instead of the usual question, try asking them:
🔸 Who was the first person you talked to today?
🔸 What did you like the most about school?
🔸 Was there anything that bothered you or made you uncomfortable?
🔸 What was the best moment today?
🔸 Which teacher did you like their style?
🔸 Is there anything you want me to help you with for tomorrow?
💡 **And remember:** The first weeks of school aren’t just about grades and homework.
Pay attention to your child’s sleep, mood, enthusiasm for going to school, relationships with classmates, and how they talk about their day.
Sometimes a small sentence your child says in the car or at the dinner table tells you much more than the question:
**'How was school?'**
🧡 Let’s make the start of the year a chance to get closer to our kids and listen to them more than we ask them.
**Our Madares Onajo family wishes all students a school year full of success and wonderful experiences. 🎓**
