Mr. Abdullah Abu Khadija

Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Arab International Company for Education and Investment

It gives me great pleasure to introduce you to the University of Applied Sciences. This university, which was established in Amman as a private university, was an investment project for the Arab International Company for Education and Investment. The story of establishing this university is a very interesting one. When the annual conference of expatriates was held in the 1980s in Amman, most of the expatriates who attended the conference were parents of high school students. Due to the limited seats allocated to their children in Arab and Jordanian universities, they had no choice but to send their children to universities abroad.

In addition to the high expenses that they were involved in, most of their children were not prepared to withstand the shock or cultural gap between their community and the new society. These conference participants felt that they should find a solution to this crisis. The fourth annual expatriate conference, held in 1988, was the birthplace of the private university idea. One of the recommendations of this conference was calling for the establishment of the University of Applied Sciences, and it was approved by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Higher Education. After conducting a study to ensure that this idea could be realized, the Ministry of Higher Education granted a license to the University of Applied Sciences on July 10, 1989. In order to establish this university, the Arab International Company for Education and Investment chose a suitable location in the outskirts of Amman to build the university on. The idea was for the university to start with three colleges: Arts, Sciences, Administration and Economics. Accordingly, the construction process, equipping of equipment and laboratories, building a good library, and appointing an efficient technical and administrative body, and a sufficient number of qualified academics, were taught to teach at this university.

I can say with great confidence that the university has established itself as the largest private university, and that it is at the forefront of universities in Jordan, and this in itself means a lot. The planned prosperity of this university is well planned in eight colleges, 27 fields of specialization, (268) members of the teaching staff and (563) in the administrative body, (161) equipped laboratories and workshops, a rich and modern library, a large gymnasium, and playgrounds Many, bus stop, clinic, many facilities and amusement centers. In sum, the Arab International Company for Education and Investment has made every effort to provide the University of Applied Sciences with all possible means to maintain the university's leadership position. So they went to university. The quality of the dessert is known.
