Al-Ahliyya Amman University is the first private university established in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan by a decision of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in 1989. The university opened its doors in 1990 with three colleges: the College of Law, the College of Arts and Sciences and the College of Administrative and Financial Sciences, and in the following year the College of Pharmacy and Medical Sciences was established and the College Engineering Then the Faculty of Information Technology was established in 2001, the College of Nursing was opened in 2005, and in 2010 it was agreed to introduce the College of Architecture and Design to include the majors of Architecture, Graphic Design and Interior Design, bringing the number of colleges to eight colleges offering 29 undergraduate programs. The university also offers eight master's programs and a master’s program in law. It was the first program offered by the university at the level of graduate studies, and that was in the year 2005, and the university provides students with distinguished graduate program and distinguished faculty members to meet work requirements in the university environment in terms of administrative, financial and technical aspects, the university provided As a qualified administrative cadre in various departments and departments, all of them strive to provide the best services to the university community, including students, their parents and a teaching staff. Accordingly, it has been over the establishment of Al-Ahliyya Amman University for twenty-seven years in which it continued to supply the local and Arab market with a selection of graduates who occupied important positions in the local and regional institutions in the governmental and private sectors, in addition to a number of them continuing higher studies in the most prestigious European and American universities, and a number of them work in Al-Ahliyya Amman University and Jordanian, Arab and international universities. The number of graduates in the various disciplines provided by the university has reached (24,338) students.
