The students learned how to become active individuals

As an implementation by using the UBD approach, sixth grade students section E learned how to become active individuals and problem solvers for environmental issues in their community relating their unit about planet Earth to real life. In an attempt to achieve the big idea, students designed awareness magazines about global warming after studying, researching and working in groups to prepare their final products. Students were so enthusiastic to spread awareness about global warming. Hence, they have visited different classes in school to educate their peers about how to reduce the negative effects of this important issue. This kind of initiative is exactly what we need to see from the next generation of leaders and problem solvers when it comes to protecting our planet.
